"Focus on Peace" by Nancy Burson is a project of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in collaboration with Creative Time. Launching in early September 2002, this unique campaign will distribute 30,000 postcards and 7,000 posters inscribed with the message "Focus on Peace" around the anniversary of September 11th.

"Focus on Peace" is a citywide declaration that serves as a visualization/contemplation tool to shift our consciousness forward. It is a positive action message of healing and hope. Arts and community-based groups, schools and universities as well as small businesses and storefronts Downtown will be invited to display "Focus on Peace" posters and postcards. These materials as well as email blasts will be distributed during the first week of September until supplies last.
